Chinese design firm Shenzhen Super Normal Design worked in a modern apartment that has a tea area and living room on a raised platform.

This modern holiday apartment is part of Seven Star Yufeng Club, a private club located on the Dapeng Peninsula in Shenzhen.

The interior of the apartment that we are going to show you today is located on the fourth floor of the building. It is open plan, with hidden lighting that highlights a variety of areas such as small staircases and the parts where the ceiling meets the walls.

One of the nice features of the apartment is the deck with tea area. Part of its floor is raised to create a table with an empty space underneath to place your legs when sitting. To provide comfortable seating, there are round straw cushions around.

A closer look at the tea area that really invites you. From here, one can have a good look at the outside through a glass window fixed on its side. You can also see a plant that not only adds attractiveness to the space, but also helps clean the air.

Notice how the lights add more oomph to the podium and to the entire interior. While most of the areas are white, there are a few pops of color from the decorations and accessories that make it look more laid-back. Due to the presence of a large glass window on the side, natural light floods the interior.

Adjacent to the tea area is the living space consisting of a low-rise sofa and a round ottoman. Like the tea area, it also has pillows with large stripes. Next to the living space is a small kitchen area with wooden cabinets that complement the look of the raised platform.

Behind the living room is the sleeping area which contains a comfortable bed. A headboard separates the two spaces while providing built-in bedside tables and a bed frame at the same time. On its side there is a glass window that gives a good view of the water and the park outside.

Lighting indoors adds to the home’s cozy atmosphere, especially at night. You can also see that the bed uses earth tones to add warmth to the space.

The deep freestanding bathtub is located on a slightly raised area of ​​the main floor and is defined by the concrete floors. I love how this area is decorated!

Across from the bathtub is a small sitting area with an armchair and daybed. It is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. One can also have water views from here once the blinds are opened.

A closer look at the sitting area that uses the same neutral hues of the bed near it. It’s also decorated with a striped pillow like we can see from the rest of the space.

This is a private bathroom that features a large wood vanity with a concrete countertop. Hanging above each sink are two wood-framed round mirrors. The vanity extends to provide additional counter space with open space to hold stools.

Shenzhen Super Normal Design definitely did a great job designing this apartment. Despite the small area, they manage to integrate all the important areas in it from the living room to the bedroom. It is also impressive that the apartment is beautifully designed using neutral colors while adding some color using decorations. The whole space is also decorated in a very creative and artistic way which makes it look more attractive. Overall, I like the look and this would be a great inspiration for studio spaces.
