20 great rocking chairs in the living room

20 great rocking chairs in the living room

Personally, I think the rocking chair is one of the most useful and relaxing furniture apart from the bed. On today’s list, we’ll have something nice for you guys!

Here is a list of 20 great rocking chairs in the living room that I absolutely love. The designs below are great and most of them have a really new design — well, at least something we don’t really see every day. Each of the living rooms here have totally rocking chairs! So, without further ado, I think you should check out this list!

1. Colford Road

First on the list is a cute rocking chair with metal frame and cushion. I love the way the pillow matches the material and texture of the cross section it sits across. The contrast in the color of the walls and furniture is something I really like – simple yet attractive!

2. Hicks Street Residence

Expect to see two living rooms on this list with this specific rocking chair. The reason I chose to add these living rooms with this rocking chair is because of the beauty of the living rooms already in them. How do you like the books and shelves on the sides of the TV?

3. Eichler’s early expansion

I think this living room looks great – the idea of opening it up to the pool outside. In a way, this living room is a great example of a “green” home; Allows light and ventilation to enter the home the natural way. I absolutely love this! Especially the rocking chair here.

4. Hollywood Glamor

Here’s that mid-century white rocking chair I was telling you about. It looks absolutely gorgeous in this all-white living room and is such an overwhelming space. The white curtains add the most dramatic effect to this space that I know people will love.

5. Apartment in Tel Aviv

Ruth Kedar

The rocking chair in this living room looks like a retro design or model of this furniture, but again, we see how elegant it actually looks. It contrasts with the sectional found in this space but at the same time integrates with the wooden shelves and TV shelf next to it.

6. Borland Street

Borland Street

Stern McCafferty

I know this is a big house with a living area that definitely has basic furniture but it still looks interesting. Sure, that’s one example of what a “simple” space would look like and I can’t say I like it, but sometimes, depending on the arrangement of your home, this style can really work for you.

7. Gervasone Breakup

This loft is organized mainly for individual pieces of furniture and decorations here – but the way this space is actually makes me want to add this picture in a mood board that I can use for future projects – home improvement or otherwise.

8. Mid-Century Modern

The rocking chair here is a bit of a relief and I think it’s really nice. The eggs are calming here along with the freshness that plants give us by being present in this photo – but I think having a rocking chair is just a great way to do things.

9. Novola 09

Oh, I love this cute and white rocking chair! The color of the fabric used on the cushions and the cushion on the chair looks totally chic and fun – again, this is another space organized to sell a specific product, but I think this space could move into a small studio where someone lives.

10. Oregon Coast Home

This is a beautiful sitting room with a great view from outside. Usually, when I see a house close to the beach – it’s white and blue – it’s not like that and I absolutely love it! The combination of wood and prints goes well with the large, comfortable chairs found in this space.

11. Southampton Residence

Hambeton Residence

Now, don’t you look at that! Seating area with not one or two chairs – but four wooden rocking chairs! The designs are contemporary and I think people will live for them! It’s simple yet looks absolutely stunning against all the white in this living room.

12. Montrose Crescent

I really wanted to show you this living room because of the way they paired these chairs together. Keep in mind that everything here is actually different from each other and yet still looks organized and somehow blends in. Do you think so too?

13. Downtown Glamor

The fancy black buffet table shown here is totally chic – nothing to do with anything in this photo however you can see how they match each other – the buffet, rocking chair, lamp, plate and basically everything in here just looks great!

14. Koyung Residence

You’ve gone crazy with the color and print of the area rug here! Well, the design actually looks popular and even simple – but look at how every furniture and décor blends together here. The rocking chair design is really nice, and it’s black, so it definitely goes with anything!

15. Casa Private Villa

Thinking of a house with glass walls all over the place is kind of scary and beautiful at the same time. Look at how cool the exterior actually is and imagine what people might think about your interiors as well. Well, this is something to think about for all of us!

16. Blakehurst House

I love how this house actually has a semicircular rooftop house. I immediately imagined what the interior of an igloo could look like because of this house; But overall, I think this living room definitely has a nice look and feel; Plus I think this place looks modern enough for most people’s tastes.

17. Mill Valley Hillside

Elena Calabrese

Here is a rocking chair and foot rest set that we don’t see often. As comfortable as rocking chairs are already, adding a footrest could mean more relaxing moments and chill times for the user. Plus, this living area looks nice enough to really relax and even sleep or something.

18. Ocean Residence

Ocean Residence

The living room wooden rocking chair design actually looks traditional but then it has this fun material and finish that makes it look really beautiful and adorable at the same time. I love how the bead-shaped backrest looks (the rectangular shapes) and how this actually looks better next to the wood stove.

19. Sonoma County Sidebreeze

Blue Houses

Why have one rocking chair when you already have two; Or four like the other living room on this list. We see a small part of this living room, but I think it actually looks cozy and elegant!

20. Bovina House

I’ve featured this home a few times here at the Home Design Lover and can never completely beat it because of the way they choose the furniture and decor here. From the colors to the textures it’s all here – I think anyone would love to live here.

If you keep looking for more rocking chairs in homes – you should check out the rocking chairs in the bedroom and possibly wait for more in the future. I think lists like these can be great mood inspiration for you folks who already do interior work for a living or luxury, or who really love to decorate and reinvent their homes. Thanks guys for reading and be sure to come back for more especially when you need more inspiration!
