20 Comfortable Hammock Seats in the Living Room

Having a swing in your backyard as a kid is one thing while having a swing inside your home is another. This list that we have today is pretty much something people think about doing because they think it’s really nice to bring the outdoors — and I think it actually works most of the time, but then again it’s weird the next time around.

The way swing chairs are incorporated into the living room designs of these homes is really sweet. There are some living rooms here that are really charming because of the swing chairs – you must see these swing chair designs and the spaces in them; Choose and please and tell me about it.

1. Central Park West Penthouse

Central Park West

This is the most modern design on this list which is why I already added it at the beginning of this list. I think the color and materials are very nice and match the whole space. If you have time to check out this home’s designer website, you’ll see that there is another swing on the other window on the left – talk about symmetry.

2. Desert Mountain Retreat

These swing seats are really classy! They add a little rustic charm to this lovely home. The color combination on the chair and in the whole room is entertaining and intriguing at the same time. I love the size of these chairs because they definitely can convert into a daybed or something.

3. Dutch colonial residence

Here’s a homely way to add a hammock seat in your living room. Rattan or wood material is perfect and the fun colorful pillows add to its charm. I think the colorful aura of this place is fascinating and I think the art is very much appreciated here.

4. Germantown custom home

Custom Germantown

I think the swing seat in this living room is just heavenly. Probably because the entire living room actually looks like a magical paradise on the floor plus she added this white swing with that cute chandelier and cage on the side – this space is so cute!

5. Escape to the Hamptons Holiday House

Here is a contemporary living room with just the right items for it. The amazing swing bed, rattan chair, cute decorations and furniture is really a thing. The curtains make this space so elegant and gorgeous – love it!

6. Minneapolis, Georgia

Georgian Minneapolis

I find this swing seat really great – I’m surprised the strings in here can hold it together. I really like the color of the hammock. It’s neutral and complements the color scheme found in this space; Plus it contrasts the color of the dining group – it works.

7. Muskoka’s Hut

Muskoka hut

If you have a great view of the outdoors like this house, I think, you can add an outdoor swing—seriously! But again, people have different tastes and different needs. I’m lucky to have actually seen beautifully crafted swing chairs like these because I think they were made especially for this home and they look real chic – like upscale royalty!

8. Retreat

Tinsley Building

This home has a somewhat traditional approach with the addition of a hammock seat inside. They somehow match the black rattan chairs and still manage to complement the homey feel this home really has.

9. Ruby Kelly House

Ruby Kelly

If the homes of people I know had swings like this, I think I’d consider copying their design, because obviously adding swings like these creates a much more relaxed and lively feel. Although I think it can make people lazier, I think it would still be a good thing because your kids want to stay home and relax more.

10. Tucked away

custom hill

The color of this living room is really bright! I love green, why not – especially this one actually but I think this room needs a bit more color – like blue or black to subdue the color a bit. The paintings on the wall look really nice, I love it; Also, I think the ship-like window on the side of the actual window is really cool!

11. Buchanan

Nilus Designs

I wish I could get a picture of this swing a little closer because I think it’s really cute. I like to think that when they looked in the little corner by the window, they really planned to add a nice swing seat like this one.

12. Cameron Saw Palmetto Bluff Home

Cameron Palmetto

This sitting area has a much quieter view – lots of trees and maybe a mountain nearby. I love how the designer really made sure there were glass walls for this space because then, the people who hang out here can use the calming effect that the trees have on the people – the greens, in particular.

13. Fox River Classic

Fox River

This classic Fox River home is definitely a classic – the choice of furniture, minimal décor, stone-walled fireplace and light fixture they actually chose for this space is very interesting. I am definitely fond of the fact that this living room actually has enough windows for people to enjoy the view outdoors.

14. Teen Retreat Lake Forest

Teens retreat

I find it strange that they added the hammock behind the sofa, but then again, there is a bit of a cavern on this side of the living room which is why they added a nice hammock there. Adding beanbags or cute seating like pillows can be great for getting extra seating especially for your kids or teens.

15. Chinkwapin

Samrour Architects

This swing seat sure looks like a regular stool to which they have added metallic twine! I don’t see anything wrong with that, but I think they could have been nicer because this rustic space just needs it.

16. Grand Floh Chalet

Grand Chalet

Well, this house definitely has enough swings for the whole family! These twists look really comfortable and relaxing due to their shape and silky material. If you sit in one of these swings, I think you’ll have a quick nap, you won’t even notice.

17. Lake House

Architect Bartholomew

If I’m not mistaken, I think the swing seat in this photo is actually made of steel. Very thin and can definitely hold a lot of weight. I like how it is strategically placed in the corner with all the sunshine towards it. I don’t think this would be a great afternoon!

18. Akdiana Street Good Dream Home

Good Dream

This cute nook is sure to feel like a paradise sent to this home. I love the corridor that really opens up to this small space with the swing and the cute decorations found here. If you notice the industrial light outside the corridor, I think it definitely makes this space really beautiful.

19. Wabi Belgoim

Wabi Belgoim

It might sound pretty much like we’re promoting this beautiful swing seat – but I don’t see why not? This is one cute swing that actually made this white space look more interesting and fun. The hanging chair actually gives this space a bit of an industrial feel.

20. Indian Living Room in Los Angeles

Tara Design

Last on this list is a luxurious looking swing seat that is meant to make your Indian living room truly stunning! The details used on the pillows, decorations, and the hammock itself are absolutely stunning and legit! If it happened to be an Indian bar or something, I think I would definitely go!

Growing up, we usually had a hammock outside our house and I think once we get really old we tend to miss things like this and it’s a good idea to bring it indoors to keep as a reminder but at the same time a statement piece for your home.
